Dr. Bernard was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. After graduating high school, he went on to attend the University of Oklahoma and, in 2008, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science. Three days later he enrolled and began attending chiropractic school at Parker College of Chiropractic (now Parker University), where he received his Doctorate in 2011.
Dr. Bernard has been very active through out his life and has always been interested in healthcare, how the body functions, and how he can address and alleviate issues people contend with in their daily lives.
What made him decide to enter the chiropractic profession, was the fact that chiropractors’ typical course of treatment addressed the cause of a problem, and not the symptom. Dr. Bernard found this concept not only to be logical, but also found this approach was not as common as you might think. Through his studies at Parker College he found, working with the muscles and fascia, he could dramatically reduce the time between injury and recovery for patients. Allowing people to return to activity sooner and keep them there longer. This is what has driven him to focus on the area of sports medicine.
Be active, stay healthy.
